Phil's Warriors is a charity that set up in the memory of Phil Smith who tragically died aged 25,  following an accident in April 2015. We became a registered charity in November 2015.

Phil worked as teaching assistant at Riverside Special School in Goole. He was due to start his teaching certificate in September 2015 and hoped to become a special needs teacher.

Phil was a keen supporter of charities and participated in many fund raising activities. He also coached young footballers and felt sport could give focus and a sense of achievement to youngsters.

In recognition of his charity work and his belief in the power of sport to change lives we began the charity in his name. Phil's Warriors Charity is his legacy and will enable us, through his name, to make a difference to youngsters' lives.

The objects of the CIO therefore are to support all aspects of the lives of children and young people with special needs, and other disadvantaged young people, and to provide support and opportunities for these groups to enhance their lives, particularly through healthy lifestyles and sporting activities. This will be done primarily through fundraising activities, and also some partnership working to facilitate specific, appropriate projects.

Phil's son, Baby Philip our newest and youngest member attends every meeting.
